We are looking for a BigCommerce Front-End Developer to build, customize, and optimize BigCommerce themes, storefronts, and headless commerce experiences. If you are passionate about modern eCommerce UI, Stencil framework, and API-driven web experiences, this is the role for you.

Job Description

As a BigCommerce Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and optimizing BigCommerce storefronts, ensuring pixel-perfect UI, seamless user experiences, and high performance. You will work closely with designers, back-end developers, and eCommerce strategists to create engaging, functional, and scalable solutions for B2B and B2C eCommerce brands.

This role is ideal for a front-end specialist with expertise in BigCommerce, JavaScript, API integrations, and modern UI frameworks.

Requirements

🎓 Experience & Education:

  • 4+ years of experience in front-end development.
  • 2+ years of experience developing BigCommerce websites.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing BigCommerce projects and UI development work.

🛠 Technical Skills:

  • BigCommerce Development: Expertise in BigCommerce Stencil framework, Handlebars, and Front Matter.
  • HTML, CSS & JavaScript: Strong understanding of semantic HTML, CSS3, SCSS, and JavaScript ES6+.
  • JavaScript Frameworks: Experience with React.js or Vue.js (Preferred but not required).
  • API Development: Proficiency in GraphQL, REST APIs, Storefront APIs, and Stencil util-APIs.
  • UX/UI Best Practices: Strong knowledge of responsive design, progressive enhancement, and WCAG accessibility.
  • Performance Optimization: Understanding of page speed testing, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Experience working with Git and GitHub/GitLab.
